Excellence in Emporia
In the heart of the Kansas Flint Hills sits the small town of Emporia. Historically known as a pass-through town on the Kansas City railroad, Emporia has reinvented itself using sports as a platform to highlight its innovative spirit. Our Excellence in Emporia episode features two events: The Dirty Kanza 200-mile cycling event; and the Glass Blown Open disc golf tournament. This one-hour episode highlights the struggles of the riders as they transit the central Kansas prairies, but also celebrates the human spirit as riders overcome their own limitations to cross the finish line. On the disc golf side, we meet Emporia resident and past World Champion, Eric McCabe, who guides us through the high-flying tournament that features the world’s best players. Look no further than Emerging Sports.tv to fill your appetite with professional and collegiate event competition that until now has gone unnoticed. Series produced by Dr. John G.
